In early 2020, we took a leap of faith and purchased what is now Windy Hills Farm. At the time, the land was wild and largely inaccessible - scarred by erosion, overgrown with invasive weeds, and in desperate need of care. But beneath the challenges, we saw something special. A place with history, beauty, and incredible potential.

Originally part of the Pomerenke family's vast cattle farm, Windy Hills Farm is surrounded by land that has been worked for generations. Jim’s Road, which leads here, is named after the family patriarch, and many of the Pomerenkes still live and farm in the area. Their support, along with guidance from land remediation specialists, local farmers, and the Lockyer Valley community, has helped us transform Windy Hills Farm into what it is today - a peaceful retreat where nature and country living thrive.

With a lot of hard work (and a fair share of trial and error), we’ve restored the land, built new dams, planted native trees, and created a space that welcomes both wildlife and visitors.

The Cabin - built in 2022, was our first step in sharing this special place with others. Our journey is ongoing, but the vision remains the same: a place where families, like ours, can slow down, breathe in the fresh country air, and experience the beauty of the Lockyer Valley.
